Dylanglen Stud has not posted any updates/news for a while so here is our 2014 Stud Catch-Up.
Our latest most exciting news would have to be the purchase of the new horse truck. It is currently undergoing modifications to the back loading ramp and will be ready to carry the ponies around during 2015.

A new steel round yard has been constructed at Morven this year and another one is half way complete. 3 new steel holding/handling yards have also been constructed and a loading ramp is under currently undergoing construction, which will include 2 crushes when complete. Matt’s welding skills have certainly come in handy and he has done a very professional job.

The two surprise arrivals of 2014 are going well. Dylanglen Red Baron, Part-Bred Connemara (our new years day surprise) has grown in leaps and bounds and is still quite a looker. Cheeky little Dylanglen Whispering Jack, Pure-Bred Connemara (our miracle foal and first foal by Gracefield Park Atlantic Swirl) is healthy and strong.
Our latest purchase Boonahburra Hazy Muskateer (Pure-Bred Connemara Colt, Sire: Frederiksminde Hazy Cavalier IMP Dam: Glenormiston Lisheen) has settled into the stud nicely and is good friends with Spirit (aka Larry) who is next door. We found out this year that Muskateer can REALLY JUMP!!! He tested the strength of his yard very well let’s say.
We are expecting a pure-bred foal next year from Dylanglen Shamrock x Dylanglen Shadow and a part-bred foal from Dash to Paradise (TB) x Dylanglen Miss Millicent (C/TB). A colt foal from Shamrock and a filly foal from Miss Millicent would be ideal but we just have to wait and see.
Dylanglen Shadow (Grey) & Dylanglen Shamrock (Buckskin).
Three Pure-Bred Connemara Ponies went to fabulous new homes this year in Victoria. Glenormiston Clonakilty, Boonahburra Devon & Strickland Park Chester. We wish these fabulous ponies and their new owners all the best with their future endeavors.
John and Marion also purchased another block of land at Rand this year. This has become Dylanglen Shamrock’s retirement paddock. He is loving the retired life running with his girls, Dylanglen Shadow, Dylanglen Liberty Belle and Woodstock Deltora.
Dylanglen Stud would like to wish every horse and horsey person a Very Merry Christmas and a Safe & Happy New Year.
